This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Kairos mobile application, related websites, and connected services (collectively, the “Services”).

Access to the Services may be limited to invited, approved, or otherwise authorized users.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

We may collect information about the device and app you use to access the Services, such as device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers, mobile device ID, crash data, and diagnostic information.

Location Information

If you enable location-based features, we may collect location information from your mobile device and from connected products or services associated with your account. This may include precise location data where necessary to provide core functionality of the Services.

Connected Product Information
We may collect information related to connected items, trackers, or paired devices, including device identifiers, pairing status, device activity, connectivity information, telemetry, status information, and last known location data.

Communications and Support Information

If you contact us, we may collect the information you provide in your messages, support requests, or other communications with us.

Third-Party Sign-In Information
If you sign in using a third-party identity provider such as Apple or Google, we may receive certain profile and authentication information from that provider, subject to the provider’s settings and policies.

2. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to provide, operate, and maintain the Services; create and manage your account; authenticate users and secure access to the Services; pair and manage connected products and devices; provide location-related and protection-related functionality; send service messages, alerts, security notifications, and operational communications; improve, troubleshoot, monitor, and secure the Services; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting, authentication, mapping, analytics, communications, customer support, and infrastructure providers.

Business and Operational Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that process, subject to applicable law.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe doing so is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, safety, users, or security of Kairos or others.

With Your Direction

We may share information when you request or direct us to do so.

4. Third-Party Services

Our Services may rely on third-party products or services, including cloud infrastructure, authentication providers, and mapping services.

For example, the app may use Google Maps or related mapping services to display map content and location information, as well as authentication and cloud services provided by third-party vendors such as Amazon Web Services or related providers.

These third parties may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

5. Location Data

Kairos may use location data to provide core features of the Services, such as location display, last known location, protection features, connected device workflows, and related notifications.

You can control certain location permissions through your device settings. If you disable location permissions, some features of the Services may not function properly.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security and operational integrity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We may also retain limited information as required for fraud prevention, security, backup, or compliance purposes.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, or request a copy of certain personal information.

You may also be able to update certain profile information in the app, control permissions such as location, notifications, camera, or Bluetooth through your device settings, and request account deletion by contacting us at the email below or through available in-app account deletion functionality, where applicable.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the country in which you live. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
